An important message from the owner and author:
"Whether you are a theist, an agnostic, or an atheist, I hope you will find this book and website interesting. I have been all three at different times of my life. I am interested in wrestling with tough questions. How about you? This book and website focuses primarily on the perspective I held as an atheist for a couple years if you are interested in gaining insight on that view and how I was led there.
Timeline:
1983 - 2017: Theist (Christian) - I was confirmed as a Lutheran as a young boy. Picture below.)
2017 - 2020: Agnostic
2020 - 2022: Atheist
2023 - Present: Theist (Christian again) - I was also confirmed as a Catholic in March of 2024.)
I am now a Christian, and yet, my deep love, appreciation, and understanding of agnostics and atheists remains stronger than ever. Below this section is how my website looked when I created it as an atheist. Are you are interested in taking a deep dive into what can cause outspoken doubt for some? Well then, you've come to the right place.
The existence of God is a deeply philosophical and religious question that has been debated for centuries by scholars, theologians, and individuals around the world. There are many different beliefs and perspectives on the nature of God, ranging from traditional religious beliefs in one or more deities to atheistic or agnostic views that reject the existence of any supernatural beings.
I admit, I am not equipped to provide a definitive answer or proof one way or the other on whether God is real or not. Whereas, once I believed God to be real as indicated by the timeline above, I stopped believing for a time, and then started again. Read my book or read some other pages on this website to learn more. Ultimately, the question of God's existence is a matter of personal faith, belief, and individual interpretation of available evidence, and it is up to each individual to come to their own conclusion on this matter.
As a believer, do you ever debate non-believers? Maybe your way of debating them is indeed the best way and is the right way. My experience, as now a former atheist, may have left me with a little different take than some other Christians. I have a profound respect and deep genuine love for atheists because I was one. I love hearing what they have to say. I can see myself in them in many ways. I love thinking, 'Yep, that was me!'
Loving them is like how God may have loved me through that period. I think Christians can make good points. I think non-believers can make good points too. Atheists come in all shapes and sizes. Some are intelligent, while others are not so much. Some are fragile and some are extremely strong. Just like humans of other faiths.
I remember when I was debating as an atheist and occasionally a strong Christian would powerfully absorb the arguments that I was throwing at them with genuine love and compassion without snapping back witty insults of their own even though they could. They were not even shocked, surprised or confused in any way with my barrage of facts and strong opinions. It took me off-guard. I would respect them. They would truly listen and show respect and love back despite what I gave them. Those were the kind of people that actually opened my eyes. They are very rare. Then that respect could turn into an opening for more. A 'mustard seed' if you will. (I used to make fun of that analogy.) That, perhaps maybe, I don't know everything I am saying is 100% correct, and then, maybe the door can open for more light to enter back into my heart.
I am proof that the door is never fully closed while alive. Either way best wishes and much respect, to you.
Thanks for your interest. God Bless and/or best wishes to you depending on your own understanding or world view."

RELIGION: A LIFELONG CON JOB ON THE GULLIBLE MASSES

In the year 325 CE in the Country of Turkey, The Council of Nicaea compiled ridiculous stories and writings that have no evidence in what is now called the bible. They created a new religion to gain power, influence and money. Christianity isn't the only religion with nonsensical books though. There are 1000's of religions and cults. They are all baloney. There is abundant evidence that man invented gods.
It has been said, what can be said without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence. Pretending to know things that a person doesn't actually know is actually, well, a lie; and yet that is the lifeblood of religion. Religion is basically taking playing pretend way too far. No religion can survive these two words: Prove it.
*Confirmation Day Picture: I am the one on the far left. Confirmation is one example of religious brainwashing I talk about in my book. If you are built with love and empathy there is no reason to dilute yourself with a ridiculous cult, religion, or imaginary gods.
People don't need religion. Religion needs people.
Religiously unaffiliated people have been growing as a share of all Americans for some time. Pew Research Center’s massive 2014 Religious Landscape Study makes clear just how quickly this is happening, and also shows that the trend is occurring within a variety of demographic groups – across genders, generations and racial and ethnic groups, to name a few. Because we no longer need religion, in my book, I'll explore what we as a society can do about it. I'll also explore what is behind enormous shift. There is no kind way to say people who are religious have devoted their life to delusional fantasies.
*If you give an automatic reoccurring gift to a religious organization, I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you to cancel it now. What are you waiting for? Let's stop giving our money to these con artists. Religion takes advantage of the generosity of the gullible.
You have a free pass to walk away from religion whenever you want to. Religion uses make-believe spirituality as a business to con people.
